I am currently reading a book for my American Politics class called “That used to be us: how America fell behind in the world it invented and how we can come back,” by Thomas Friedman and Michael Mandelbaum. First of all, I believe this book should be required reading for each and every single American ages 14-24. Second of all, something so drastic came up during the reading that I needed to post immediately.
By now, if you listen to the news, read the papers or don’t live under a rock, you have heard that America has fallen behind in the educational department worldwide. But I had no idea how far until reading this book.
